Borneo: Welcome To The Jungle! (Malaysia Part II)
Borneo is known for its spectacular flora and fauna. It is home to some of the world’s most beautiful (and endangered) wildlife. In Borneo we saw wild orangutans for the first time in our lives. We also came face-to-face with a wild pig while taking a nap on the beach. We explored the mighty jungle and took a boat trip on the Kinabatangan river to see proboscis monkeys, pythons and crocodiles . Another highlight was climbing the highest mountain in South East Asia: Mount Kinabalu. More pictures will follow in the next blogpost!
NED: Borneo is gekend voor z’n spectaculaire fauna en flora. Het is de thuisbasis van een van de meeste (bedreigde) wildlife ter wereld. In Borneo zagen we voor de eerste keer in ons leven wilde orang-oetangs. Tijdens een kort dutje op het strand kwamen we ook oog in oog te staan met een wild varken. We verkenden er de indrukwekkende jungle (‘Jungle book’ in real life ;-)) en deden een boottocht op de Kinabatangan-rivier om er neusaapjes, pythons en krokodillen te spotten. Een ander hoogtepunt was het beklimmen van de hoogste berg in Zuidoost-Azië: Mount Kinabalu. Onvergetelijk! Meer foto’s volgen in de volgende blogpost.
